4-H Cloverbuds for 5 & 6 year olds
4-H Cloverbuds is an exciting program that helps build confident kids. Designed for youth ages 5-6, the 4-H Cloverbud program offers hands-on learning activities that explore the different projects (interests) that 4-H members can enroll in.

Through these activities, Kids explore the areas of healthy living, earth environment, citizenship, plants and animals, consumer skills, science and technology, personal development, and expressive arts. The learning activities foster basic values like cooperation, teamwork, and communication. The 4-H Cloverbuds program provides an excellent opportunity for your child to reach his or her highest potential.

A Message to Parents
Working with 5 to 6 year olds can be challenging without proper adult supervision. Although 4-H Cloverbuds' leaders may be leading the activity, it is important that parents be involved too. Besides helping the club leaders, this also gives you a chance to participate in the 4-H Cloverbuds experience with your child.
Participation in the 4-H Cloverbuds program can happen in several ways. Some of our 4-H clubs have Cloverbud Activities during their regular monthly meetings.
The MdC District, County-wide Cloverbud club meets monthly on the 1st Thursday of each month at 5:30-6:30pm in Mound City Extension Office or the 2nd Thursday of each month at 5:30-6:30pm in the Paola Extension Office meeting room.
4-H Cloverbuds are encouraged to showcase a product, poster or notebook of 4-H Cloverbuds activities. Since 4-H Cloverbuds are noncompetitive, the exhibits will receive a special participation ribbon and be displayed in a show-and-tell type manner. Cloverbuds are not allowed to exhibit livestock but can exhibit items or pets from the approved pets list.
