4-H Cloverbuds for 5 & 6 year olds

To be eligible to participate, a child must have celebrated his or her 5th or 6th birthday before January 1 of the current year.

A Message to Parents
Working with 5 to 6 year olds can be challenging without proper adult supervision. Although 4-H Cloverbuds' leaders may be leading the activity, it is important that parents be involved too. Besides helping the club leaders, this also gives you a chance to participate in the 4-H Cloverbuds experience with your child.

Participation in the 4-H Cloverbuds program can happen in several ways. Some of our 4-H clubs have Cloverbud Activities during their regular monthly meetings.

The County-wide Cloverbud club meets monthly on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 5:30-6:30pm in the Paola Extension Office meeting room.

Or the 1st Thursday of each month at 5:30-6:30pm in Mound City at the 4-H building.

4-H Cloverbuds are encouraged to showcase a product, poster or notebook of 4-H Cloverbuds activities. Since 4-H Cloverbuds are noncompetitive, the exhibits will receive a special participation ribbon and be displayed in a show-and-tell type manner. Cloverbuds are not allowed to exhibit livestock, but can exhibit items or pets from the approved pets list.
