Adults & Aging
As our population continues to age, gaining information for aging in place and having the highest quality of life becomes more important than ever. K-State Research & Extension offers many programs to enrich the lives of older Kansans and their families by addressing health and wellness needs through research-based education.
The Marais des Cygnes Extension District is here to help you navigate the aging process gracefully. For more information or requests for educational programming, contact Kathy Goul, Family & Consumer Science Agent, at firstname.lastname@example.org or by telephone at 913-294-4306.
Alzheimer’s disease is commonly referred to as the “biggest health crisis facing the world today”, partly because everyone with a brain is ultimately at risk. While Alzheimer’s cannot be prevented, slowed or cured, there are benefits to early detection and diagnosis, as well as numerous steps you can take now to better your own brain health.
